Sa Ta Na MaDimensions

Saa = Infinity, totality of the Cosmos
Taa = Life (birth of form from the Infinity)
Naa = death (or transformation)
Maa = Rebirth

This body of work is about the movement of the soul in the path to enlightenment.

My intention is to depict the spiritual planes by showing dimensions in my photographs in different ways.

For example, by playing with the perspective or gaze , so that the viewer gets a sense of  being in or out, as well as seeing through or being pulled into,  similarly to when meditating, dreaming, or astral projecting.

Also with the layering of photographs and textures, which represent the connection between diferent points in spacetime.

Lastly, by showing movement to signify the natural movement and flow of life, death and reincarnation; the continuous cycle of life and creation.

In essence, the movement of the Soul through the planes of time and space, and it's journey to awakening.

I chose three photographs from my previous work to be the base of the project since they achieve to reflect my concept. The first two are diptychs, one plays with the perspective and the second one combines the organic with the inorganic, that is man made structures and buildings which usually remind us to industrialization, consumer society and mass media, In other words, stuff that actually distract us from spirituality and nature, and combine it with the organic, or find a perspective where i could add layers and make it surreal and spiritual. To put it differently, finding magic in the ordinary, or waking up our consciousness. The third photograph I used as a base for this project is one that depicts movement. The rest of my work reflect this elements, all made up of layers, some showing movement, some combining organic and inorganic elements and shapes, and others being all organic or all inorganic. However, they all share the same theme, style and elements.

This work is about the soul moving through space,  and its travel to enlightenment. I depicted the spiritual planes by creating dimensions with the layering of multiple photographs and textures, that give the ilussion of movement or reffers to it in some way, as well as in the perspective so that the viewer 's gaze can see through, and get a sense of being in or out, as well as being pulled into, similarly to when meditating, dreaming, or astral projecting and lastly, by showing movement, this to signify the natural movement and flow of life, death and reincarnation. In in essence,

The movement of the soul body through time-space.
